What is the difference between marine and car speakers?
Marine speakers use UV-stable cones, sealed electronics and corrosion-resistant hardware, and are tested against sun, salt fog and water. Car speakers fail quickly on a boat.
Do I need an amplifier for my boat speakers?
A stereo's built-in power is fine for a few speakers at low volume. Add a marine amplifier for tower speakers, subwoofers or clear sound at speed, matching its RMS output to the speakers' RMS rating.
Can I control my stereo from my chartplotter?
Yes. FUSION stereos connect to compatible Garmin chartplotters over NMEA 2000, so you can change sources, zones and volume from the MFD.
What does a multi-zone stereo do?
